Hell yeah. [ He smiles again, even bigger than before.
The only problem is, the brownie's starting to hit him hard now and he doesn't even know if he can drag himself anywhere else, let alone carry Chrissy. ]
[Maybe it's a little ridiculous to be this excited about having a sleepover, but she still hasn't decided how to feel about being stuck here, and the fact that he also seems excited about it just makes her incredibly happy.
Unfortunately, she wasn't counting on him finishing off the other half of that brownie and effectively stranding them in the ice cream place.]
[ He slumps over on the table. That's just great. They're stuck in Scoops. On the other hand, he feels like he could pass out pretty much anywhere right now, so at least there's that. ]
[Normally she'd be inclined to overthink herself all the way to an anxiety attack, but that half-a-brownie has done her a huge favor in the form of shutting that down for the time being. There'll be plenty of time for future Chrissy to feel properly mortified by the way she scoots in close and tucks herself against his side with a content little huff.]
[It's nice, just sitting. She's already making an effort to stay upright, though, and that little nudge is all the encouragement she needs to lay her head on his shoulder.]
[Crashing on the floor of Scoops isn't really what she'd had in mind when she suggested having a sleepover, but beggars can't be choosers. He's warm and Chrissy can't even remember the last time someone just held her. If she wasn't already nodding off, she might be more worried about it.]

[She's planning on it either way, but it's still nice to hear.]
I do. If you want to.

[ He runs his fingers through his hair. ]
Like. Tonight?
no subject
Um... tonight is fine with me!

...Walking fucking sucks.

Sometimes... oh no! Are you stuck too?

[That wouldn't be possible even if she was sober. As it is, she can barely sit up. It's the thought that counts, though. Right?]
Just give me like... five minutes.
no subject
[ No, Vance, it's a trap. But he's already slumping out of his chair and sliding onto the floor. At least it's clean. ]
no subject
[The plan is to sit and count out five minutes in her head. The reality is Chrissy tumbling out of her chair and settling beside him.]
Meant to do that...
no subject
[ He scooches in just a tad closer, so their shoulders are touching, and laughs a little at nothing in particular. ]

I don't think I've heard you laugh before.
no subject
I haven't had much to laugh about. But I guess that can change.
no subject
I get it. I didn't have a lot to laugh about at home. It's better here, I think.
[A lot of things are better here, though.]
I hope it's better here for you, too.
no subject
Yeah. I think it is.

I'm sleepy.
no subject
Yeah, me too.
[ And his eyelids droop shut. If no one objects, he'll fall asleep right here, his head against hers. ]
